Serving Hope Through Community Outreach
FIGHTING FAMINE IN ETHIOPIA
The Horn of Africa is facing its worst drought in decades, leading to an urgent hunger crisis. Send Relief partners and local believers are committed to providing vital assistance to those in need. Because of gifts to Global Hunger Relief, nearly 1,000 families will receive consistent supplies of food and a community of support as they face locusts, pandemic, drought and civil unrest.
Food boxes include essentials such as flour, oil and lentils. In addition to food, families are invited to attend bible studies, youth groups and summer camps with local churches. Last year more than 100 individuals accepted Christ through these life-changing food distributions in Ethiopia. Church members continue to disciple these new believers, hoping to see even more communities changed by the love of Jesus Christ.

A Tale of Resilience
Amidst the upheaval of conflict, a family of eight found themselves displaced from their home. Among them was a woman who once ran a thriving restaurant. However, the turmoil of eviction shattered her livelihood, forcing her into the streets to beg for survival. Yet, through generous gifts to Global Hunger Relief, she received food from Send Relief partners. No longer does she endure the hardship of begging. With gratitude in her heart, she proclaims, "God has reached me through you." As we prepare for Global Hunger Sunday, her story serves as a poignant reminder that God uses us to meet needs so He can change lives.
